In England, Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future was a popular comic book character in the fifties, sixties and seventies and in my story I revisit him as an old man. But is Dan Dare known in the U.S? Would your readership recognise his name, or the name of his nemesis, The Mekon?

But I really enjoyed Teel James Glenn&#039;s essay on Barsoom&#039;s origins and the history of the characters, even if our research differed on U. Paxton&#039;s army unit :) Great stuff!</description>
